Ricoh Women's British Open: golf betting guide

Tomorrow, the stars of the women's game will tee it up at St Andrews' Old Course as the 2013 Ricoh Women's British Open gets underway.

The likes of Stacy Lewis, Paula Creamer, Suzann Pettersen and Catriona Matthew will all be vying for glory, but Inbee Park will be commanding most of the attention.

This year, the 25-year-old South Korean has already won the Kraft Nabisco Championship, the LPGA Championship and the US Women's Open.

if she reigns supreme at the Ricoh Women's British Open, she will become the first ever golfer, male or female, to win four professional major championships in the same calendar year.

Last year, Jiyai Shin cruised to victory in the darkness at Royal Liverpool to claim her second Ricoh Women's British Open, and she won't relinquish her title without a fight. Paula Creamer, at 16/1 with Ladbrokes, is someone with an excellent record at the Women's British Open. She finished third last year and tied for third in 2009, so she's clearly comfortable on the links. What's more, she's finished inside the top four in two of her last three outings. Creamer has notched 14 career top 10s in majors but only got over the line once, so she will be looking to improve upon that record. Catriona Matthew, at 20/1 with Ladbrokes, has many factors pointing in her favour this week. The Scot will be extremely motivated playing on the word's most famous golf course in front of a home gallery, and she said earlier this week "there's no place I'd rather win than at the Old Course... my game is in good shape and I'm doing everything I can to ensure I'm ready." Matthew has finished inside the top three twice in her last four tournaments, including a play-off loss to Park at the LPGA Championship, and she won the Ricoh Women's British Open in 2009, so she'll be confident heading into the tournament. Beatriz Recari, at 50/1 with Ladbrokes, is well priced given her recent form. The world number 18 won her last tournament - the LPGA Marathon Classic - and notched four top 20s in five tournaments before that. Her record at the Ricoh Women's British Open is modest, but a tie for 26th last year suggests she might be getting her head around this form of the game. Brittany Lincicome, at 100/1 with Ladbrokes, looks a good outside bet this week. The American missed the cut in the last outing, but finished 17th at the LPGA Championship and ninth at the US Women's Open. Her record at the Ricoh Women's British Open - where she's returned four top 30s in her last six starts - is also fairly solid. She's a past major champion and a player with Solheim Cup pedigree, so keep an eye out for Lincicome this week. Ricoh Women's British Open advised bets:
