Q-School success for Sluiter at Las Colinas
Four events took place in Spain this weekend where players were competing to qualify for the European Tour Final Qualifying Stage at PGA Catalunya
The second stage of the European Tour Q-School at the Las Colinas Golf and Country Club has been won by Dutchman Tim Sluiter this weekend.
Sluiter took control of the event after an incredible run of birdies on the back nine of his third round.
Level par for the day after the first 11 holes, Sluiter produced five birdies in the closing seven holes to move to 13-under-par.
The late move from Sluiter meant he propelled himself into a two shot advantage over England's Ben Evans going into the final round.
Sluiter held on to finish on a total of 16-under-par to seal the victory from Evans by two strokes.
England's Benn Barham continued his remarkable comeback from kidney cancer by finishing in fourth place to progress to the final stage at PGA Catalunya.
Others to qualify included South African Warren Abery, Frenchman Baptiste Chapellan, England's Paul Dwyer and Denmark's Morten Orum Madsen.
