Q-School heads North at last
A European Tour Qualifying School Pre-Qualifying event will be held at Dundonald Links as it heads North of the border for the first time in its history.

Dundonald Links has been confirmed as a European Tour Qualifying School venue from 2008 as Q-School heads North of the border for the first time.
Situated on the stunning Ayrshire coastline and owned by the famous Loch Lomond Golf Club, Dundonald winds its way for 7,300-yards through the dunes that encompass the challenging Kyle Phillips designed layout.
The European Tour Qualifying School has a revered history in uncovering the continent's finest talents. However, that comes as no great surprise considering the skill required to survive pre-qualifying followed by the rigorous six-round examination to decide the top-30 and ties that earn their card.
In 2006, Spain's Carlos Rodiles and Brazil's Alexandre Rocha topped the leaderboard on 15-under-par while England's promising youngster Oliver Fisher also earnt his Tour playing privileges for 2007.
"We are extremely proud that Dundonald Links has been selected as the inaugural Scottish venue for European Tour Qualifying School," commented John Caven, Director of Operations for Dundonald Links.
"I firmly believe that Dundonald will showcase golf in Scotland to the very highest order and present a true test of golf to all the competitors looking to make their way on to the European Tour."
"I think it is only fitting that a country with such a storied history and passion for the game of golf as Scotland has will be hosting the European Tour Qualifying School from next year," said Mike Stewart, Senior Tournament Director & European Tour Qualifying School Director.
