Peter Uihlein made 6 birdies and one eagle to lead the ISPS Handa Perth International. Here are the best moments from Day 1.

Marcus Fraser who finished in a tie for 12th chipped in for eagle on the 7th.

Shot of the day went to the clubhouse leader Uihlein when he holed out from the fairway on the 9th for eagle.

Peter went on to birdie the 14th to gain a share of the lead with a fantastic long range put.

The American will now go into the rest of the tournament with a spring in his step having carded this excellent round of 65 that only saw one bogey.

Uihlein's nearest competitors are  Romain Wattel and Shiv Kapur who carded a bogey free round of 66.

The nearest Australian competitor to the top is Rhein Gibson, who is 4th having carded a five under-par 67.

Play gets back under way at 10:40pm this evening.

Uihlein who is teeing off at 11:00pm is partnered with last weeks winner Marcus Fraser and frenchman Victor Dubuisson.
