Padraig's top rhythm tip
Welcome in the New Year with a great practice routine from Open champion Padraig Harrington, as his glove drill helps you to get your arms and body working together.

Padraig Harrington explains the importance of rhythm with his famous "Glove Drill".
If your arms work effectively with your upper body, powerful, accurate shots are the inevitable result.
A good drill that I often use to help synchronise the movement of my arms and body is to place a glove under my left arm. I?ll hit a series of shots, ensuring that the glove does not fall to the ground after I have struck the ball and released my hands towards the target.
This ensures that as I turn my upper body, my arms stay connected working at the same speed.
