Mouland leads British Par 3 Championship

Mark Mouland opened up with a five-under 49 in the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship at Nailcote Hall for the first day of the Pro-Am on the Cromwell course.
Mouland's round was just a shot shy of Carl Mason's six-under-par course record after the former European Tour professional finished with two fine birdies. Held over two days at Nailcote Hall Golf and Country Club's Cromwell course, each year some of Europe's finest professionals take part in the tournament sponsored by Farmfoods, a privately owned ambient grocers with over 300 outlets, that is hosted by two-time Major winner Tony Jacklin. "I'm a real fan of this event, it's a quaint setting and when the weather is beautiful like it has been today you cannot complain," said Jacklin.
Current European Tour player Oliver Fisher lies second at four-under-par, with Gary Wolstenholme, playing in his final event in preparation for his Senior Tour debut, in a share for third with Richard O'Hanlon from Lanhydrock Golf Club.
With two celebrity days bookending the tournament itself, there are whole host of stars from the worlds of stage, screen, and sport. Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is just one of the star names for Friday's final round. Adults day entry is £10 and a four day pass is £25. Children and over 60's are free of charge. Parking is also free in the Public Car Parking.
