Memorial Tournament golf betting guide: Advised bets
Betting tips and form guide for the PGA Tour's Memorial Tournament which sees our man, Paul Krishnamurty, steer clear of favourite Tiger Woods, with five other each-way selections grabbing more appeal.
The last remaining place in the staking plan was always going to an outsider, and separating their claims was tricky. Amongst those briefly considered but overlooked was bang-in-form John Mallinger, who made the top-10 on his course debut. I was only deterred by the fact that at 66/1, his odds have more than halved in recent weeks. Recent winner Jerry Kelly was runner-up last year, along with the capable Matthew Goggin. Ben Curtis is no forlorn hope by any means after a pair of good efforts in Europe and a decent effort at Sawgrass. Eventually, I plumped for LUCAS GLOVER, who has gone close on championship courses Torrey Pines and Quail Hollow already this season. Second and 3rd in those prestigious events is no mean feat, and confirmed that he is well overdue that elusive second PGA title. As Glover finished an excellent 8th on his course debut in 2005, it may just be that this venue can bring the best out in him. Good Luck! Advised bets for the Memorial Tournament:
