Golf Monthly columnist Graeme McDowell has praised the European team's preparation ahead of the 2010 Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor, giving a particular mention to captain Colin Montgomerie's work prior to the showdown which starts on Friday.
Sir Nick Faldo's captaincy and mangement style two years ago came in for some severe criticism and Europe went on to lose at Valhalla.
However, McDowell, who was a Ryder Cup rookie two years ago, has been impressed with the preparation in the lead up to this year's contest.
"Colin has been a phenomenal captain so far," said the US Open winner. "He's made sure that all of the clothing has been tried on long in advance, all of the measurements have been done.
"We are absolutely wanting for nothing this week. Everything has been taken care of. We have all of our equipment, all of the clothing we could possibly want for every possible weather condition this weekend and we are ready to go."
McDowell's own preparation was helped in June when he won the the Celtic Manor Wales Open and the course holds few worries for the Ulsterman.
"I think any time you win around a golf course, you have no problem visualising some nice shots and putts and we enjoyed our practice round this morning," added McDowell.
