Masterful McIlroy triumphs with Titleist
Titleist Brand Ambassador Rory McIlroy stormed to victory in the 94th PGA Championship at Kiawah Island's Ocean Course using Titleist equipment
Titleist brand ambassador Rory McIlroy won his second major championship in sensational fashion on Sunday, trusting a range of Titleist equipment to deliver him success in the 94th PGA Championship.
Following his record-breaking winning margin at the 2011 US Open, McIlroy again re-wrote the history books at Kiawah Island's Ocean Course by storming to an eight-shot victory, shooting a bogey-free final round of 66 en route to lifting the Wanamaker Trophy.
The Ulsterman regains his position atop the Official World Golf Ranking after his PGA triumph, replacing fellow Pro V1x loyalist Luke Donald.
McIlroy trusted Titleist with every part of his game, from his Pro V1x golf ball, 913D3 prototype driver, 906F2 and 910F fairway woods to his MB irons, Vokey Design SM4 wedges and Scotty Cameron putter.
The win marks the third major victory for Titleist golf balls in 2011, with the Northern Irishman joining Masters champion Bubba Watson (Pro V1x) and US Open victor Webb Simpson (Pro V1x) in the winner's circle. The 23-year-old now sits alongside Jason Dufner and Zach Johnson as the three Titleist brand ambassadors to win multiple times in 2012.
There were a number of high finishes for fellow Titleist golf ball loyalists, including Ian Poulter (tied-third), Titleist brand ambassador Steve Stricker, Jamie Donaldson and Blake Adams (tied-seventh).
Indeed, Titleist remains dominant in every sphere, with more wins across every major product category, including: golf balls (24 wins, compared to nearest competitor's four), drivers (14 compared to six), fairway woods (14 compared to nine), hybrids (eight compared to four), iron sets (15 compared to give), wedges (18 compared to five) and putters (13 compared to six).

Elsewhere, on the LPGA Tour, So Yeon Ruy recorded a seven-shot victory with her Titleist Pro V1s at the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic, and Pro V1x loyalist Chris Wood won his first professional title at the One Asia Tour's Thailand Open.
Thus far in 2012, Titleist's golf ball victory count is 96 more than its nearest rival, proving the best opt for Titleist's unrivaled performance.
