The 2007 Federation of Master Builders Charity Golf Day will be taking place at Calcot Golf Club, Reading on the 28th June 2007.
Organiser John Saunders, Honorary Branch Secretary of FMB, was nominated for Golf Monthly?s Golfer of Endeavour award last year, for the work he carries out to make the event, which benefits local charities, happen.
This year?s instalment looks set to attract 30 to 40 teams at a cost of £210 per team with all profits being donated to McMillan Nurses. The fee covers the cost of green fees, lunch, coffee plus one sponsors board near a tee or green.
In 2006, the beneficiaries were the Berkshire Air Ambulance Service who received £2,500 and John is hoping to raise even more this time around.
The competition itself will consist of 18 holes for the Rex Townsend Trophy with additional prizes for individual, team, nearest the pin and longest drive winners.
Also on offer will be an Isuzu Rodeo for anyone who manages a hole-in-one, although the hole where the prize will be on offer has yet to be decided.
For further information contact John Saunders on 0118 986 3983.
