LUMINE welcomes back PGAs of Europe Fourball Championship
PGA Professionals to return to LUMINE golf club with Golfbreaks.com support
LUMINE Mediterránea Beach & Golf Community has strengthened its partnership with the PGAs of Europe following the announcement of the Fourball Championship's return for a third consecutive year.
The 2014 edition will enjoy additional support from leading tour operator Golfbreaks.com and the lure of the largest prize fund to date.
"It is an honour for us to welcome back the leaders from the European golf industry," said Calle Carlsson, General Manager, LUMINE Golf & Beach Club.
120 pairs will compete in a better-ball format over the Greg Norman designed LUMINE Lakes and LUMINE Hills courses and will take advantage of the facilities on offer at the 45-hole resort.
PGA's of Europe Chief Executive, Ian Randell said; "The attraction of returning to a venue with its growing reputation alongside an enhanced prize fund will prove extremely popular with PGA Professionals across our membership."
LUMINE Golf Club includes the Greg Norman designed Lakes Course which also plays host to the European Tour Qualifying School Stage 2 and the more traditional Hills Course which runs through pine and olive trees with views of the nearby coastline.
The 9-hole Ruins Course further compliments the two championship courses; another Norman design that weaves its way through Roman archaeological remains from the second century and completes the 45-holes.
