Here?s a good drill that prevents my hips from turning too soon.
At address I move my right foot back, as shown, so that my body is closed to the target. From here I hit a series of shots. With my hips at this angle at address there is no way that they can out-race my upper body.
This simple drill is an excellent way to get your upper and lower body working in harmony.
