Johnson wins after play-off in Georgia
A final round of 67 followed by a birdie at the first play-off hole gave Masters champion Zach Johnson victory at the AT&T Classic.
Zach Johnson showed his class during the final day of the AT&T Classic, shooting a five-under-par 67 and defeating Ryuji Imada in a sudden-death play-off.
Japan?s Imada and America?s Troy Matteson had gone into Sunday tied for the lead with both men looking for their maiden PGA Tour victory. A 73 for Matteson was only good enough for third place while Imada birdied the last to force a play-off with the Masters champion.
On the first sudden-death hole, the par-5 18th, Imada hit his drive into the left-hand rough and found water in front of the green with his second. Johnson, however, remained cool and found the putting surface with his second shot. He then hit his 60ft eagle putt to 5in from the hole to seal the victory.
This was Johnson's third PGA Tour victory, all of which have come in the state of Georgia.
