Many others in this wide open contest deserve a mention. Richard Green, David Lynn and Anthony Wall all fall into the category of contenders overlooked due to poor career win ratios. Perhaps they should take inspiration from last week's winner Simon Dyson, who showed that even the most frustrating characters get the job done sometimes. The names of Danny Willett and Alex Noren should be added to the other camp of overdue first-time winners, though both struggled on their Gleneagles debuts.   Bradley Dredge has finished second here before, and takes the eye after his best finish of the season in Holland. As does in-form Ignacio Garrido though I wonder whether the Spaniard is ideally suited to bad weather golf. Damien McGrane has tremendous bad weather credentials, though surprisingly a very poor course record, never making the top 10 in six tries. Finally, three outsiders that also came in for close consideration are Madeira Island Open winner Tano Goya, Richie Ramsay and Felipe Aguilar.   Good Luck!   ADVISED BETS   JOHNNIE WALKER CHAMPIONSHIP   2pts ew NICLAS FASTH @ 28/1 (EXPEKT, VCBET, 30/1 SPORTINGBET) 2pts ew GRAEME STORM @ 28/1 (GENERAL) 2pts ew JAMIE DONALDSON @ 28/1 (SKYBET, CORAL, SPORTINGBET) 1.5pts ew GARETH MAYBIN @ 45/1 (BET365, BETFRED, SPORTINGBET) 0.5pt ew PAUL LAWRIE @ 100/1 (SPORTINGBET, LADBROKES)   LONG-TERM ALREADY ADVISED
