Jiménez wins Hong Kong Open
Another unbelievable finish on the European Tour saw Robert Karlsson hand the Hong Kong Open to Miguel Angel Jiménez.

Miguel Angel Jiménez and Robert Karlsson began the final hole of the Hong Kong Open tied for the lead but in an unbelievable finish a bogey was good enough for the Spaniard to take the title. Karlsson had held the lead throughout the weekend and it was not until the 16th hole of the final round that Jiménez caught the Swede. Both players found the fairway on 18 and Jiménez hit his approach into the middle of the green. Karlsson left his approach short and then duffed his first chip before chipping up to around 5ft. This left the Spaniard with two putts for victory but he left his first short and then missed a six-footer for par. Karlsson was offered a lifeline but missed his bogey putt, handing Jiménez the victory. This left Karlsson tied for second with K J Choi and Thongchai Jaidee. Choi would have also been involved in a play-off had he not chipped into a bunker and made five at the last. "I feel sorry for Robert, I don't like to see him finish this way,? said Jiménez. ?I'm going to have a cigar, some nice food, maybe a few whiskies and we'll see what happens." Hong Kong Open -15 M A Jimenez (Sp) -14 R Karlsson (Swe), KJ Choi (US), T Jaidee (Tha) -13 P Hanson (Swe)
