Take a look at our tips for the Humana Challenge
Take a look at who Golf Monthly think will do well this week on the PGA Tour in this Humana Challenge golf betting guide
Humana Challenge golf betting guide
The Humana Challenge is one of those events on tour where a few things are guaranteed, amazing scenery, sunshine and birdies, birdies and more birdies.
Patrick Reed won last season with a tournament record -28 and having won a couple of weeks ago in Hawaii he is unsurprisingly the short-priced favourite at 12/1.
This is a tournament where you must break 70 each round to have any chance of finishing in the Top 20, and the tournament is played over three different courses in La Quinta, California.
Players to look out for are Matt Kuchar and Phil Mickelson who of course have the game to perform well here, but this early on in the season and at odds of under 20/1 I am steering clear of them this week.
A reminder that as the same as last week we will again be offering advice on where to spend your £10 for each tournament. We will again be competing against our DownThe18th bloggers. Check out their recap of last weekend’s golf action, or see the bottom of the post for updated results

Human Challenge golf betting guide – advised bets
Bill Haas £2 each way at 28/1 – A good price for the 2010 winner here, who also then finished in 2nd place in 2011. Always a consistent performer he has not missed a cut since June and has plenty of success in this part of the world.
Keegan Bradley £2 each way at 34/1 – Like him at this price. Has the power to make the courses mincemeat. As ever a great deal rides on his putting, if he uses the short putter and gets on well with it then he could have a spectacular week. Finished top 20 here last season.
Boo Weekley £1 each way at100/1 One of the purest strikers of a golf ball, who has an annoying time of it on the greens. He is someone who can go on superb birdie blitzes, but can’t do it every week. Like his each way chances. Has had a steady start to the season as well.
