Huddersfield GC – GM Course of the Week

Blessed by the most attractive clubhouse in the UK and with brand new USGA-spec greens and extremely good value green fees, Huddersfield GC is not one to miss. Check out and enjoy our course of the week.

The focal point of Huddersfield Golf Club is undoubtedly the magnificent Fixby Hall. A beautiful 18th century Grade II-listed house, it?s one of the most attractive clubhouses in the country. The course forges out from the hall in two nine-hole loops of some quality.

Course lowdown: Accurate driving is crucial at Huddersfield as the wispy rough is very punishing. The new USGA-spec greens have made the course considerably harder ? their severe slopes demand approach shots that must be played to the correct side of the pin. Find the wrong side and you?ll do well to avoid a three-putt.
