The inaugural GolfSixes takes place this weekend where 16 countries, each made up of two players, will battle it out over six hole matchplay for a €1,000,000 purse at the Centurion Club in Hertfordshire.
The players will walk out to pyrotechnics and music whilst the par 24 six hole course will circle around a central hub of other entertainment.
There will also be a 40 second shot clock in use.
The format
The format is greensomes where both team members will each hit a tee shot, choose the best one and then play alternate shot from there.

On day one, the 16 teams will play in four groups of four, think Champions League, playing each other over a set of six holes. The top two teams from each group at the end of the day will progress to the knockout stages on Sunday.
The final day will see quarter finals, the semi finals and final, plus a 3rd/4th place playoff.
