Golf tips of the week: Increasing power tips
Our golf tips of the week are taken from Top 25 Coach Andrew Jones who demonstrates how six everyday household items can transform your game.
Golf tip 5. Armband drill
Many amateurs lose power at the top of their backswings as they allow their elbows to bend too much. This can destroy the force created by a good upper-body turn. To prevent your right elbow from bending, put an armband around it, as shown. Swing to the top of your backswing ten times to develop a feel for this position, then take the armband off and hit a series of shots. You should start to harness the power of a good turn.
