Golf Monthly's week that was
In a busy week at the office we look at Tiger Woods' win in the Memorial tournament while looking forward to this week's PGA tournament the St Jude Classic
It was a busy week for some as press week was upon us at Golf Monthly, but that’s not stopped us bringing you the biggest news in golf.
Up first, Padraig Harrington has been named by his fellow professionals as the inaugural winner of The European Tour Players’ Player of the Year Award for 2008. While the Faldo Series Ireland Championship has moved to to Lough Erne.
Meanwhile over in America Tiger Woods came from nowhere to win the Memorial Tournament after posting a final round of 65 and to beat Jim Furyk by one shot – it was Tiger’s 67th career PGA Tour title.
There was yet another surprise winner on the European Tour with Jeppe Huldahl of Denmark winning The Celtic Manor Wales Open and to claim his first European Tour victory.

With no European Tour event this week, all the serious golf betting attention is on the St Jude Classic and David Toms was our man’s major pick.
