Form guide for the Moravia Silesia Open   PETER HANSON   Hanson deserves favouritism on the basis of a very consistent set of figures over the past year, particularly eighth place in elite company at Firestone on his penultimate start. Nevertheless, his career win ratio is ordinary compared to somebody like Jimenez, and it is never easy maintaining form after a gruelling fortnight on a different continent.   STEPHEN GALLACHER   Gallacher is in easily the best form of his life. He's made his last nine cuts, only once finishing outside top 30. In addition to four top-six finishes during that run, he made the top 25 in both recent Majors.   GONZALO FERNANDEZ-CASTANO   Gonzo returned to something approaching his best with a respectable 33rd at Whistling Straits following on from third place in Ireland. Earlier in his career, Castano was one of my favourite regular picks as he looked so reliable in contention, but recently he's looked much less trustworthy. The main problem is his very weak putting.   SIMON DYSON   Last week's brilliant USPGA performance came completely out of the blue, so a repeat can hardly be guaranteed. Nevertheless, Dyson commands plenty of respect having made the top 20 last year despite a poor finish.   OLIVER WILSON   Still without a professional title, Oliver will get few better opportunities to break his duck than this drop in grade. His 2010 form is nowhere near as good as last year or previously when making the Ryder Cup side, though.   ROBERT ROCK   Another player long overdue a breakthrough win. Rock also has watertight claims on recent form, having registered four top sevens from his last seven starts.   GRAEME STORM   A very obvious candidate, though that is reflected in odds of 25/1. Storm was fourth last year, and has been very consistent in the gir department recently, making his last eight cuts.   BRETT RUMFORD   With four top tens from his last nine starts, including the two most recent, Rumford made the shortlist. He is also a former winner at Crans.   ROBERT-JAN DERKSEN   Ninth last year, Derksen is another candidate with solid recent form. He's made the top 20 on eight of his last 11 starts, including all of the last four.   NICOLAS COLSAERTS   Colsaerts looks a big improver this year, usually near the head of the gir stats and registering six top 25s since April. His extreme driving distance offers less of an advantage than usual here, though.   SOREN HANSEN   Soren may have superior pedigree over the longer term compared to most of this field, but is badly struggling right now. This normally consistent player has only one top 40 from his last 11.   IGNACIO GARRIDO   Garrido was tied for fourth last year, and has plenty of solid form in 2010 to suggest another high finish.   JAMIE DONALDSON   I've felt Donaldson was improving for some time, and his gir stats in reaching the last two top 25s caught the eye. He remains unreliable under pressure though.   MICHAEL HOEY   After top 15s on three of his last four, registering excellent gir stats, Hoey is my first reserve. He was on the fringes of contention here last year, prior to a disastrous final-round 78.   ROSS MCGOWAN   As by far the weakest player within range of Ryder Cup selection, patriotic Europeans may be cheering against Ross suddenly turning around a miserable run.   2010 STATS: -70pts   LONG-TERM ALREADY ADVISED   5pts MARTIN KAYMER TO WIN THE RACE TO DUBAI @ 9/1
