Footjoy Reelfits proving a big hit
Footjoy's new golf shoe, the Reelfit, is making waves among Tour pros and the manufacturer has now announced that they are widely available to buy all over Europe.
FootJoy?s latest invention is causing a huge stir in the golfing world thanks to the rave reviews garnered by its ReelFit shoes, which claim to use revolutionary technology.
The self-proclaimed manufacturer of the ?No 1 Shoe in Golf? has created a shoe that fits more akin to a snowboarding boot. The lacing technology, which comes from Boa Technologies, is designed to provide golfers with the ultimate fit.
The Boa Lacing System, which is unique to ReelFit, uses two feet of adjustable steel micro-cable, to stop the shoe from loosening as the round progresses. This is aimed at providing a comfortable fit at all times ? something that laces are simply not capable of.
There is no doubt that the shoe is easy to use, being tightened, to the desired fit, by a small dial that plugs into the heel. Then, by simply releasing the dial at the end of the round, the lacing system is loosened and the shoe slides off. Sounds good.
An array of tour players, including world number three Adam Scott and former USPGA champion Davis Love III, have already committed to using the shoe on a regular basis. More are expected to follow once the shoe makes its official debut later this month.
"I've been wearing ReelFit golf shoes from FootJoy exclusively since I first tried them on several months ago. The shoes provide a custom fit and incredible comfort round after round," said Davis Love. "Equally important, ReelFit shoes provide great traction and stability throughout my swing?.
The FootJoy ReelFit is available in Europe as of this month and will cost around £149.95.
