Farmers Insurance Open betting guide
The PGA Tour remains in California this week for the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines Golf Club.
As always, the event has attracted a strong field, headlined by Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods, who is making his first start on the PGA Tour this season.
Woods will be looking for an 80th PGA Tour title, an eighth Farmers Insurance Open title and a ninth victory at Torrey Pines.
Unsurprisingly, he's 5/2 favourite this week, but he'll face stiff competition from the likes of Mickelson, Brandt Snedker, Jason Day, Bubba Watson and Lee Westwood.
Snedeker, at 20/1 with Ladbrokes, has been quiet of late, but everything points to a return to form this week. He finished 11th at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, showed glimpses of form last week at the Humana Challenge and, more significantly, he loves Torrey Pines. He won the Farmers Insurance Open in 2012 and hasn't finished outside the top nine in four starts here.
Bill Haas, at 25/1 with Ladbrokes, can't be ignored this week. He hasn't finished outside the top 25 in his last five PGA Tour starts, he shot rounds of 65-66-67-67 at the Humana Challenge last week en route to a tie for 6th and he's finished inside the top 10 at the Farmers Insurance Open in his last three starts.

Keegan Bradley, also 25/1 with Ladbrokes, is a player I'm expecting big things from this year. He was disappointing in 2013, but he worked extremely hard in the off-season and looked promising last week at the Humana Challenge, where he finished inside the top 20. He's currently first on the PGA Tour in Total Driving and sixth in the All-Around ranking. Brendon de Jonge, at 66/1 with Ladbrokes, is one of the most consistent players on the PGA Tour. He compiled two rounds of 66 over the weekend at the Humana Challenge and registered a top 15 in the Farmers Insurance Open last year. He's solid from tee to green and a decent putter, which should stand him in good stead this week.
I think Justin Leonard, at 100/1 with Ladbrokes, is a good price this week. The veteran American played some fine golf at the Humana Challenge to record his first top-three finish for quite some time, and his record at Torrey Pines is pretty strong. Indeed, he finished fifth here in 2008 and eighth in 2012.
