The Masters has the smallest field of all the major championships, so you are limited with who you pick.

Jordan Spieth will defend the title he won in record fashion last year but has a host of world-class players he has to get past if he wants to become the first back-to-back Masters winner since Tiger Woods in 2002.

Jason Day has regained his form and world number one spot from last year where he won five times including the USPGA Championship at Whistling Straights where he set the major scoring record of 20-under-par.

The Australian won the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill two weeks ago before winning the WGC-Dell Match Play for the second time last week (the first time he won it the tournament was sponsored by Accenture). He is favourite for the green jacket at 6/1.

Adam Scott also looks back to his best having won twice this season, now with the short putter, and Rory McIlroy played some fine golf at the WGC-Dell Match Play where he will have been enouraged by his strong putting display.

GM Tips for Fantasy Picks next week:

USA 1: Zach Johnson

The man from Iowa won the tournament in 2007 where he famously played every par-5 as a three-shotter. He picked up his second major at The Open at St. Andrews last year and currently sits at 16 in the OWGR.

USA 2: Jordan Spieth

The world number two and defending champion has only played in The Masters twice, but has finished T-2nd and 1st in his two appearances. He romped home at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions at Kapalua in January but hasn't recorded a top-10 finish since. However he got it going last week at the Shell Houston Open where he was one shot off the lead on the front 9 but faded for a T-13th finish. Spieth is already an expert around Augusta and if he can find his putting boots he will be very difficult to stop.

Great Britain: Justin Rose

Rose finished T-2nd last year (with Phil Mickelson) and played in the final group with winner Jordan Speith, pushing him close at times before finishing four shots off the pace. The Englishman has had plenty of early success at Augusta but, until last year, had never maintained his play over the weekend. Now a major champion, Rose has established himself as one of the game's best and his experience round the layout could pay off.

Ireland: Rory McIlroy

The Ulsterman has won the US Open, The Open and the USPGA twice with The Masters the only one missing from his incredible CV. Last year he went in with the whole world expecting him to complete the career grand slam but this year he will go in slightly under-the-radar, with world number one Jason Day arriving as the favourite. Rory's struggled with his putting in the last year but a change to left-hand-low looks to have worked and his game could easily peak in Georgia.

Scandinavia: Henrik Stenson

The Swede could have won last week at the Shell Houston Open where he finished one shot shy of Jim Herman. Stenson finished T-3rd at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last month and his game doesn't look too far off that when he won the FedEx Cup back in 2013. At 6th in the OWGR he goes into Augusta as one of the favourites, however he will need to hole a few more putts if he wants a green jacket come Sunday night.

Rest of Europe: Sergio Garcia

Sergio will be making his 18th Masters appearance this week and has finished in the top-8 three times. The Spaniard almost won the Honda Classic in late February but finished 2nd to a strong Adam Scott performance.

Asia: Hideki Matsuyama

Matsuyama picked up his second PGA Tour victory this year at the Waste Management Phoenix Open where he beat Rickie Fowler in a play-off. He was low amateur at Augusta back in 2011 and finished 5th last year.

Africa: Charl Schwartzel

Schwartzel won the Valspar Championship last month for his 3rd victory of the season worldwide. The South African won The Masters in 2011 with a stunning finish where he birdied the final four holes.

Australasia: Jason Day

There's only one man to pick here isn't there? He'll be in a lot of Fantasy Golf teams this year. The fact that I'm overlooking 2013 winner Adam Scott, who's won twice this season, with such ease shows you how impressive Jason Day is at the moment. The USPGA Champion won the Arnold Palmer Invitational before looking invincible in his WGC-Dell Match Play win the week after. He finished T-2nd in 2011 and 3rd in 2013 so has good form round Augusta. Day has established himself as world number one in the last 6 months, winning 6 out of his last 13 starts.

South America: Angel Cabrera

El Pato (The Duck) won the green jacket in 2009 and came 2nd in 2013 where he lost to Adam Scott in a play-off. He's not in the best form but the Argentine can turn it on round Augusta, and will be making his 14th appearance this week.
