Casey confident of return to winning ways
Former Ryder Cup player Paul Casey feels it won't be long before he returns to the winner's circle after a top-five finish at the ISPS Handa Perth International
Paul Casey feels a win is just around the corner after recording his best European Tour finish in a year at the ISPS Handa Perth International.
The 11-time European Tour victor shot a closing 67 at Lake Karrinyup Country Club in Western Australia to finish in a tie for fifth place.
The last time he bettered that finish was at the 2011 HSBC Champions in China (4th), shortly before he injured his shoulder in a snowboarding accident.
Casey hadn't finished better than 25th on the European Tour this season, but a tie for third at an Asian Tour event last week suggested his form was returning.
And after his tie for fifth in Perth, he is predicting a strong end to the year as he makes a push to qualify for the season-ending DP World Tour Championship.
"This is the best I've felt in probably a few years, and the form is coming around really nicely," said Casey, who is comfortably outside the top 100 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
"With the form I'm starting to show, it's a case of wanting to be out there, playing as much as I can, and I feel it's not going to be long before I'm back in the winner's circle."

The former world number three may be returning to form, but he is currently languishing in 135th position in the Race to Dubai standings, with only the top 60 earring a place at the DP World Tour Championship.
"I'm still not in Dubai but the goal is to win before the end of the year - simple as that," he said.
"So I think I'm going to ignore trying to get into Dubai and just try to win. That solves every problem."
