The event is being played over the stunning Marquess course at Woburn Golf Club and being supported by Sky Sports and hosted by Ian Poulter.
The event has not taken place since 2008 when Gonzalo Fernandez Castano beat Lee Westwood in a play-off at The Belfry.
The favourites with the bookies to do well this week are Irishman Shane Lowry and Italian Francesco Molinari – both are around 16/1.

British Masters golf betting tips advised bets
Matthew Fitzpatrick £2 each way at 30/1 with Bet365 A quick look at the stats on the European Tour website show that Fitzpatrick is not only one of the most accurate drivers of a ball but he also is in the top 10 for greens in regulation. Finished 3rd in Italy a fortnight ago, I expect the youngster to compete well here.
Tommy Fleetwood £1.50 each way at 33/1 with Betway The Englishman has had a breakthrough season this year with four Top 10 finishes and currently is 19th on the Race To Dubai. Has gone a tad off the boil over the past six weeks, but a tied 13th finish at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship last week will hopefully have helped get his game back on track.
Rafa Cabrera-Bello £1 each way at 80/1 with Coral The Spaniard is another with impressive greens in regulation stats. This season it has all about been whether he can cut the massive mistakes out of his game. He has four top 10s but seven missed cuts, but if he gets it right this price is going to look very silly.
Matteo Manassero £0.50 each way at 200/1 The Italian has completely fallen off a cliff recently, struggling to make cuts and all aspects of his game that made him a four-time European Tour winner seemingly having deserted him. However he has had success on tree lined English course before and this could be the place where his season finally gets turned around.
Current GM Tipster stats for the 2015 season
European Tour: £-9.25 PGA Tour: £-40.00 Total: -£49.25
