Ross Fisher

Last year proved a far more difficult challenge for the players after the iconic West course had its changes. It's a bit of a brute these days and having some extra distance off the tee is bound to help.

As a result of the changes to the course we're inclined to look at last year's leaderboard and combine that with who's hot and who's not.

On that basis, the first name to spring to mind is Luke Donald, runner-up last year and in the form of his life. Odds of 7/1 would favour a win only punt, though, and we're not going there.

The other name that we always look out for here is Ross Fisher. Wentworth's own is not in good form though and he's looking at needing to go through qualifying at Walton Heath to book his Open Championship spot. However, it's this that makes him our first pick at 33/1.

Last week at the Volvo World Match Play he did show some fighting spirit to make the last 16 where he was edged out by Masters champion Charl Schwartzel. He'll be desperate to avoid qualifying for Royal St George's and will feel like this is the perfect venue to get his game back on track.

Matteo Manassero finished a respectable tied 17th here last time out and has come on leaps and bounds since then. Our second selection is the exciting young Italian who has winning form behind him and all the credentials required to perform well here.

Finally, we're taking a gamble on Nicolas Colsaerts repeating his superb form in the Volvo World Match Play at Finca Cortesin. He hits the ball miles and looks a genuine talent who, at 50/1, is so very tempting. Get him at these odds whilst you can. Good luck!

BMW PGA Championship golf advised bets:

3 pts each way on Ross Fisher at 33/1

2 pts each way on Matteo Manassero at 40/1

1.5 pts each way on Nicolas Colsaerts at 50/1
