The Golf Monthly team have trawled the internet to bring you some of the best video clips including Phil Mickelson's trademark flop shot and Alan Partridge's view of Seve
In a new weekly feature, the Golf Monthly team will trawl the internet to bring you the best golf clips out there. Each week, we?ll provide you with some of the funniest, greatest and most embarrassing moments in the game. Enjoy.
It was on the cards for some time but that didn?t make it any less sad to hear the news that Seve Ballesteros was calling time on his career. This snippet reveals exactly how talented the mercurial Spaniard still is around the greens. You might also enjoy Alan Partridge?s view on the great man.
As I was putting this compilation together I was thinking about the greatest shot ever played. Was it my 8-iron to 3ft at Panmure? Quite possibly. Or was it Tiger?s chip at the 2005 Masters?. Talking of Tiger, nick his clubs and you?ll be eating turf quicker than you can say 'where's Tiger's 9-iron?'
Now, putting my Golf Monthly hat on for a few seconds, we?ve just produced a fantastic new instructional DVD. Here?s a sneak preview of GM Top 25 coach Neil Plimmer in action revealing the keys to good pitching. Alternatively, here?s a different take on the golf swing. I?m not sure this chap will make it onto our list of top 25 coaches.
Here?s a bit of pointless trivia for you. Who holed the longest ever televised putt? Answer: Terry Wogan. Legend.
Finally, here?s some more physics defying short game action, this time courtesy of a young Phil Mickelson. He?s handy with a wedge.
