Denmark’s Anders Hansen won the Vodacom Championship by a comfortable four strokes after shooting a 7-under par 65 at Pretoria Country Club.
Hansen finished on 18-under to cruise home ahead of Charl Schwartzel and Canada’s Graham DeLaet, both sharing second place on 14-under.
The 38-year-old Dane added to his victory in January’s Joburg Open, giving him a perfect record of played two, won two during his time on the Sunshine Tour this year, therefore extending his lead at the top of the Order of Merit.
He said: “I had a bit of a hiccup going down 12 when I played a terrible drive and a terrible second shot. I saved par, but the other guys birdied it.
“It was one of those holes I expected to birdie, and the next one, you don’t expect to birdie because it’s a difficult hole.
“But I hit a great shot to about two feet and made that, and then the next hole, I hit it to three feet and made that, so things were going my way in that time.”
Schwartzel was frustrated by his putting, as several birdie putts missed and DeLaet, who took a one-stroke lead into the final round, bogeyed two of his first three holes to end his title hopes.
