Advised golf bets for BMW Championship
Golf betting tips ahead of the BMW Championship, the third leg of the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup playoffs where a strong field has been cut to 70. Form and course guide from betting expert Paul Krishnamurty.

Two former Cog Hill champions look good each-way value at 100/1, with ROBERT ALLENBY marginally preferred to Stephen Ames. The latter won here in 2004, and took the eye with a closing 66 in Boston. Overall though, Allenby's course record is far superior with four top-11 finishes including a win in 2000. Probably due to the nature of so many of his nation's championship courses, the Australian is ideally suited by a firm and fast track that places extra emphasis on greens in regulation. Prior to last week's missed cut, which is easily ignored as he closed with a decent 68, Allenby had looked in good touch, finishing second behind Woods at Firestone and registering top 25s in the Barclays and USPGA. Finally, a few words about the others who came in for consideration. Open champion Stewart Cink has finished top 7 on his last two Cog Hill outings, and would be a serious factor if returning to the form of a few weeks ago. Geoff Ogilvy, who has a previous fifth on this course and a US Open title to his name, showed strong hints of a return to form in Boston. And another 100/1 outsider, Jerry Kelly, could feature back at a venue where he finished fifth, first and third between 2001 and 2003.
