Accurate Driving – tip from David Howell
GM's Playing Editor and Tour star David Howell shows you how to find the fairway more consistently by preparing correctly and narrowing your focus.
It?s always important to narrow your aim as much as possible when you are preparing to drive. Concentrate on hitting towards a particular spot, as opposed to just aiming at the fairway, and your accuracy is guaranteed to improve.
Having chosen a point in the distance to aim at, I then pick a spot just in front of my ball, on this line, to fix my aim on. In this instance, there is a divot in the perfect position. This works as an ideal visual reference that helps me find a straight drive.
Check out a whole host of great tips to improve your driving game.
