Titleist has reaffirmed its strong support for the Golf Foundation, which aims to make the sport more accessible for youngsters through the HSBC Golf Roots programme.
Titleist - which has been a major supporter of the Golf Foundation over the years - will provide golf balls for use in major Foundation events and promotional activities in schools and communities.
The Golf Foundation aims to bring golf to youngsters from all backgrounds, with HSBC Golf Roots teaching technical and life skills associated with golf to boys and girls. The programme reaches hundreds of thousands of youngsters each year.
The scheme's ambassadors include Lee Westwood, former European Solheim Cup Captain Alison Nicholas and broadcaster Ken Brown.
"Titleist deserves great credit for its support of grass roots golf," said Mike Round, Chief Executive of the Golf Foundation.
"Our golf programmes have enjoyed proven success in recent years and our team of highly enthusiastic regional officers is seeking to train more teachers, sports officers and volunteers to work with PGA Professionals. Together we can reach many more youngsters in 2013.
"To do this, we are looking for strong commercial support from the best golf companies. In terms of quality golf brands, you cannot find a better example than Titleist."
