Titleist and FootJoy support Golf Foundation at the Open
Titleist and FootJoy staff were praised for their teamwork in supporting the Golf Foundation at the 141st Open Championship
Titleist and FootJoy staff were lauded for their all-round teamwork in making the 141st Open Championship a great success for leading golf charity the Golf Foundation.
Titleist, the number one ball in golf, provides balls to the Golf Foundation each year for use in charity events and promotions.
At last week's Open at Royal Lytham and St Annes, nearly 3,000 golf balls were won during Titleist's putting challenge at the R&A Swingzone.
The Golf Foundation frequented the Open all week, working alongside the Professional Golfers' Association and the England Golf Partnership to introduce golf to a new audience.
The foundation was also showcasing its HSBC Golf Roots programme, which makes golf more accessible to children from all backgrounds and abilities.
Titleist and FootJoy's tour leadership team was also influential in encouraging four Titleist brand ambassadors - Rafa Cabrera-Bello, Sam Walker, Marc Leishman and Greg Chalmers - to visit the R&A swingzone and play high-paced, energetic Tri-Golf with visiting school children.
The four professionals competed in the 'Open Championship Tri-Golf Challenge', a pressure-charged mix of speed and accuracy against the clock.

Brendon Pyle, National Development Manager of the Golf Foundation, said: "We all enjoy seeing the delight on the faces of youngsters when they play Tri-Golf alongside professionals.
"These guys are very busy with a lot on their minds during the Open and to show this commitment to helping us is really commendable.
"We would like to thank Titleist and Footjoy for their excellent support and to personally thank Greg, Rafa, Marc and Sam for their wonderful attitude."
