St Andrews Launches Exciting New App
The Home of Golf, St Andrews, has released its first ever app

St Andrews Links Trust this week unveiled the first ever phone app for the Home of Golf.
The app, which is free and available across all mobile platforms, serves as the perfect companion for those who want to know more about the world's most famous links.
It features beautiful photography, status updates and weather information, and provides a unique insight into the very heart of the course that has hosted the Open Championship more than any other.
The release coincides with the new St Andrews Links website which, like the app, provides details on where to play, learn, shop or relax in St Andrews.
"We are very proud to launch the app and website and believe we have delivered something that is truly unique and in keeping with the heritage of St Andrews Links and its status in the world of golf," said Euan Loudon, St Andrews Links Trust Chief Executive.
Thanks to support from St Andrews Links global partners, Allianz, the app and website offer golfers practical help and advice should they wish to book a trip.
And if golfers fancy a quick brush-up on their links strategy before teeing off, they can access exclusive hints and tips from 2014 European Ryder Cup captain and Allianz ambassador Paul McGinley.

Subscribe to the Golf Monthly newsletter to stay up to date with all the latest tour news, equipment news, reviews, head-to-heads and buyer’s guides from our team of experienced experts.
And when your round of golf is complete, both app and website offer advice to those wanting to shop, either in person at any of the five Links shops or online via their website.
As well as all this, the website also features a new series of blogs written by people working across all aspects of the Links day-to-day business, providing an intriguing insight to behind the scenes action.
The app, St Andrews Links, can be downloaded for free on the App store, Android Market and Google Play store. To access the new official St Andrews Links website, visit http://www.standrews.org.uk
