St Andrews green fees change for 2012
The Home of Golf is also announcing important changes in the Ballot process for next year

St Andrews Links Trust has announced changes to it's green fees for 2012 for the seven courses at the Home of Golf.
The Old Course is now priced at £150 during the high season, a £10 increase. During the shoulder and low season fees will increase by £5 to £105 and £75 respectively. Green fees for its other courses will remain the same.
The Trustees decided on the increases which maintains the reasonable pricing of the Old Course green fee and means it still compares favourably with other top courses in the UK.
Euan Loudon, chief executive of the St Andrews Links Trust, said: "We believe £150 represents excellent value for golfers enjoying the unique experience of playing the Old Course.
"Maintaining the green fees at the same levels on the other courses gives our golfing customers access to top class golf at reasonable prices."
Application forms for advanced reservations for 2012 can be downloaded at standrews.org.uk. The process opens at 10am on September 7 and forms should be emailed to reservations@standrews.org.uk.
The Ballot on the Old Course will also change from being drawn one day ahead to two days ahead effective from January 7, 2012. This is aimed at making it easier for golfers to plan their schedules and book on other courses should they be unsuccessful in the ballot.
