Ronan Rafferty, one of golf's top analysts and commentators, has been hired to provide his support and expertise in the promotion of Roxburghe Championship Golf Club in Kelso.
Rafferty, former Ryder Cup and seven-time PGA Tour winner, will be working alongside His Grace the Duke of Roxburghe, to re-enforce the profile of the prestigious club.
Roxburghe Golf Course is one of the top inland courses in the country, and one of two championship golf courses in the Scottish Borders.
Rafferty said: "It is a privilege for me to be working with the Duke Of Roxburghe, who himself is a keen golfer, to transform the golf course and hotel into the only 5-star resort in the region."
Colin Montgomerie and Nick Faldo opened The Roxburghe Golf Course in 1997.
"I was impressed with the design and the quality of The Roxburghe," added Rafferty. "The greens were immaculate and the course picturesque, a pleasure to play for professional and amateur alike."
The aim is to re-instate the reputation of a world class golf centre of excellence with a golf academy, and to develop a social responsibility programme. They also aim to provide junior golf camps and build relationships with regular European and Senior tours.
