Richmond Park Golf Course: 90th anniversary open weekend
London's pay & play golf course, Richmond Park, celebrates its 90th anniversary with a weekend of golfing activities
Richmond Park, London's popular pay & play golf course, is celebrating its 90th anniversary year, with a weekend of golfing activities on 17th & 18th August, including an irresistible ‘Round for a Pound' offer.
The 36-hole venue was opened in 1923 by HRH Prince of Wales and is heralded as a place where ‘artisans and royalty are equally welcome'.
Some 90 years later, the facilities really are fit for a king. The course is operated by Glendale Golf, which has recently invested more than £3m into a brand new clubhouse and major course improvements project.
General Manager Jon Dummett said: "The Open Weekend is a great opportunity to visit Richmond Park Golf Course and enjoy our superb new clubhouse facilities."
"On Saturday 17th August, we are offering the chance to play 18 holes for just £1. There will also be an all-day BBQ on the veranda, plus plenty of golfing giveaways and special offers."
On Sunday 19th August is the course's 90th Anniversary Golf Tournament on the Duke's Course - entry is just £15 per person, which includes coffee & bacon rolls, a hot & cold buffet and a chance to win an amazing prize in the hole-in-one competition.
