Bernard Gallacher opens UK's most technologically advanced teaching facility
World of Golf in New Malden has revamped its offering with the introduction of the UK's most technologically-advanced teaching facility
World of Golf in New Malden has revamped its offering with the introduction of the UK's most technologically-advanced teaching facility.
The new Performance Centre at Europe's busiest driving range features a GC2 launch monitor with HMT, Trackman, Flightscope, Science and Motion putting and Swing Catalyst technologies.
The six-bay facility - part of an overarching £750,000 investment - was officially opened by former Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallacher.
Coaches available for teaching including Master Professionals John Woodroffe, Duncan Woolger and Ian Clarke.
Each lesson is filmed and emailed to the student with an easy-to-understand voiceover covering technical analysis and advice on what to practice.
"We're very proud to open the most advanced practice facility for regular golfers in the UK," said Grant Wright, CEO of World of Golf.

"In part, we've made a serious investment for serious golfers, who we hope will take advantage of the latest game-improvement technology used by the world's best players."
One of those innovations is Swing Catalyst, which streams live video images from high-speed cameras at more than 200 frames per second.
As such, golfers can have their swings compared to leading professionals like Justin Rose and Suzann Pettersen.
Elsewhere, Flightscope and Trackman - the latter used by 175 of the world's top 200 players - are complemented by a SAM putting lab that enables direct comparison with some of the world's best golfers, including Martin Kaymer.
What's more, Protracer technology - available in 20 of World of Golf's 60 bays - allows golfers to sync their smart phones or tablets to view ball flight and distance data.
More than 15 million balls were hit at the facility - which is open to the public for 75 hours every week - last year.
To celebrate the launch of the Performance Centre, golfers who book 12 lessons will get four of the sessions for free.
