It was selected by Sir Clive Woodwood, Tessa Sanderson and football referee Grahan Poll, as well as representatives from Twitter, ESPN, The Times and The Telegraph.
VPAR beat off stiff competition to land the award, including Chelsea Football Club, O2 and the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
Jason Stoop, Managing Director of VPAR said: ‘We are thrilled to be recognised as the best sports app by such an esteemed group of people in the sports industry.
"It has been a long journey in creating the ultimate golf app, we wanted to ensure we were providing every golfer with all of the essential features that they require.
