To experience the latest products and custom fitting technology available, The Belfry Golf Academy in the Midland’s is hosting various brand specific events and also an Open Weekend in March to kick start the 2016 season. By James Taylor
A team of PGA Professionals will be there to lend a hand with the team of fitting experts from all the lead name brands including, Callaway, PING, Titleist, TaylorMade and Nike. This will give golfers a chance to be custom fitted and trial all the latest products.
Events like this just show how far golf has come, the wide range of products that are on the market for golfers to purchase and to be custom fitted for, this is an added bonus to the already excellent pro shop at The Belfry Academy which is in place for other golfers and even hotel members to purchase the equipment on sale.
Every manufacturer will be there to showcase their latest product, Titleist and their new 716 irons, Nike and their VapourFly range, TaylorMade M1 and M2 drivers, the PING G series of woods and also irons and finally Callaway and their apex family of clubs.
Rob Spurrier has recently been named as the Academy Director which has added to the excitement at the ever improving Academy Centre.
Spurrier has plenty of experience at running golf academies up and down the country and wants to make sure The Belfry Academy is the centre for coaching and custom fitting in the UK.
“These events are just the first of many things that we are looking at to kick start the exciting plans we have for The Belfry Golf Academy in 2016. We have also just launched a new website – www.TheBelfryAcademy.com – which makes it much easier to learn about the tuition sessions we offer,
"Golfers are now able to book their individual or group lessons, or reserve their place at one of our Golf Schools and Junior Academies at the click of a button!".
“The new site will utilise software that I have developed and utilised with great success at Golf Academies across the UK and US, and I cannot wait to see how it will revolutionise the systems here at The Belfry. Our ultimate aim is to make The Belfry Golf Academy into the ideal place for anyone to learn and develop their golf, no matter whether they are from the local area, visiting the resort, or want to travel from further afield to use our outstanding facilities,” commented Spurrier.
