The Wirral Golf Classic returns in the autumn and will be played from 19 to 23 September following on from last year's successful inaugural event.
Four of Wirral's magnificent coastal golf courses are to again host a 72-hole amateur tournament open to adult male and female golfers. Last year the Wirral Golf Classic attracted golfers from all over Europe to play and stay in the area.
Caldy, former venue of the Seniors' Championship, boasts stunning views from its cliffs across the River Dee to Wales; slightly further down the river, Heswall stages the North of England Under-16 Championships each year; Wallasey, home of Stableford, is an Open Qualifying venue enjoying beautiful views across the Mersey to Liverpool, and Royal Liverpool is much loved by golfers throughout the world having staged 11 Open Championships.
Nick Peel, 2011 Captain of RLGC, said: "On behalf of the Royal Liverpool Golf Club Championship Committee, I extend a very warm welcome to our special part of the Wirral Peninsula.
"I am delighted that Hoylake is again at the forefront of the Wirral Golf Classic."
Flyers are being sent to golf clubs in March and further information can be found on the website wirralgolfclassic.co.uk. The entrance fee is £219 which includes the four games of golf and two social events.
