UK golf course and driving range operator Playgolf is gambling on a European victory in this week's Ryder Cup, with thousands of pounds potentially at stake if Colin Montgomerie's team fails to win.
Playgolf's special 'Spank The Yanks' Ryder Cup offer means that any purchase of range balls or green fees made at Playgolf Manchester and London's Playgolf Northwick Park during the promotional period of 24-30 September, 2010, will be matched by Playgolf if the US team retains the Ryder Cup.
Golfers are instructed simply to keep their receipt, and to present it to Playgolf if the US team retains the Cup. They will receive like-for-like for their purchase on the driving range and golf course.
So, if a golfer buys a bucket of 100 golf balls or a round of golf at Playgolf in either Manchester or London from 24-30 September, 2010, he or she can claim a further free 100 balls or a free round of golf if Pavin's team beats the Europeans at Celtic Manor.
The same period is also a "Winning Week" so anyone can be a Ryder Cup winner at Playgolf Manchester or Playgolf Northwick Park. All you have to do is find a red ball in your basket and claim an on the spot prize.
All purchases are valid until 31 December, 2010.
