Rudding Park host Emmerdale Classic Golf Day
This year 120 golf enthusiasts flocked down to Rudding Park Golf Club, to join the well known stars of the soap to raise money for charity
The Black Sheep Brewery, which has been the main sponsor of The Emmerdale Classic Golf Day since 2004, is continuing its relationship with the stars of the famous Yorkshire soap.
This year 120 golf enthusiasts flocked down to Rudding Park Golf Club, Harrogate to join the well known stars of the soap to raise money for charity while enjoying some quality Black Sheep beer and hopefully steering clear of the bunkers!
The event took place on Sunday 28 September and raised an estimated £20,000 for the Wooden Spoon charity, which raises funds for disadvantaged children and young people.
The day began with the men trying their luck on the spectacular Rudding Park Golf Course, whilst the ladies spent the day being pampered at a local spa. Finally everyone joined together in the evening for a spectacular gala dinner and charity auction. The night was enjoyed by all with lots of Black Sheep beer and champagne to fuel the celebrations.
Paul Theakston, founder of Black Sheep Brewery, said: I always look forward to this event as it s such fun and raises generous amounts for a great cause. We have been involved for the past few years and the results achieved are always fantastic. We have already agreed to be next year s main sponsor again and we are all thrilled to continue the relationship with the stars of Emmerdale and such a great charity.
