New Gleneagles competitions unveiled for 2016
Gleneagles' new calendar of events includes night golf tournaments

New Gleneagles competitions and events (including night golf!), have been unveiled for the 2016 season
New Gleneagles competitions and a more detailed calendar of events have been announced for 2016.
The new Gleneagles competitions should appeal to players of all ages and abilities, and will offer opportunities for club members, hotel guests, and golfers from clubs around the UK to come together in a range of tournaments and social meetings at one of the worlds most iconic and luxurious golfing destinations.
The programme will include family-friendly events, such as new night golf competitions (complete with LED-lit fairways, tees and greens, and glow-in-the-dark-balls), as well as men’s, ladies’ and junior tournaments for professionals and amateurs alike.
Gary Silcock, Gleneagles' director of golf, said: “The Gleneagles Clubhouse has never had a calendar of events before, so this new approach reflects our commitment to providing outstanding service and a warm, welcoming environment to everyone who comes to play here.
“We are dedicated to maintaining a first-class members’ community; developing our engagement with golfers at all levels, and providing abundant opportunities for people who love this sport to get together, network and play golf".
The new Gleneagles competitions kick off on March 13th, with the Spring Meeting – the first open competition for 2016, which has great prizes on offer for both ladies and gents.

The second Gleneagles Ladies Open, following on from the success of the inaugural event last year, will take place on Sunday April 17th and will be played on The Queen’s Course.
