Nominate your pro for inclusion in Golf Monthly’s prestigious Top 25 UK Coaches list
Is your coach one of the UK's best? This is your chance to nominate them to be one of our Top 25 coaches.
To nominate someone for inclusion, please send an email of no more than 300 words to golfmonthly@timeinc.com explaining why your coach should be considered. Please remember to include the coach’s name, contact details, location and title the email ‘Golf Monthly Top 25 Coaches’. This must be submitted by January 1, 2016.
They must, however, meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 10 years teaching experience
- Any golfer can book a lesson with them
- Must be based at a club or facility in the UK
- Ability to present ideas in print and video
- Willing to submit tuition ideas to GM
After an initial vetting, we will send selected coaches the original questionnaire designed by Dr. Paul Schempp of the University of Georgia. Once they are returned, the judging process will begin. We are hoping to reveal the new list of Golf Monthly Top 25 Coaches in the May 2016 issue of the magazine.
By reworking the list we hope to produce content that helps golfers understand the game better, from the fundamentals of the swing to explaining the keys behind the flop shot. While we understand that nothing can replace one-on-one lessons, we believe there’s always a tip out there; a golden nugget of information that could make all the difference.
To help us produce the most effective tee-to-green advice possible, we launched the inaugural list of our Top 25 UK Coaches ten years ago.

With help from the Sports Instruction Research Laboratory at the University of Georgia (the group behind Golf Magazine’s Top 100 US Coaches), we went through a rigorous selection process to find the 25 we felt were the best.
Many of the original group still provide us with outstanding instruction that has become invaluable to countless golfers across the length and breadth of the UK.
