The Galvin Green Dress for the Weather feature on its new app - which is free to download from your app store - enables golfers to plan their outfit accordingly.

Golfers planning their weekend round can now get advice on what to wear based on the weather forecast, thanks to a feature on the new Galvin Green app, which is free to download.

The Dress for the Weather feature offers three distinct layering options from the latest Galvin Green collection to match the level of rainfall, temperature and wind strength.

Once you’ve selected your course you are shown the weather forecast, which allows the app to automatically select suitable matching layers from more than 50 garments.

There’s also an advanced gyro function so you can see the recommended garments in action in the relevant weather conditions.

Once your suitable layers have been selected, it also advises you where your nearest retailer is, should you wish to grab anything before you play.

As before, you can use the app to challenge a friend to a game, plus you can opt in to a push notification that reminds you of your recommended outfit the day before you play.

"The new app helps golfers stay ahead by layering up with the most effective clothing on the market," said Brand Manager Nicholai Stein, who has also supervised the creation of a new Galvin Green website.

For your chance to win one of the jackets featured on this app – the Aron Paclite – check out the competition section of the website from March 19.
