Entries have opened for the 2016 Titleist Order of Merit Powered by HowDidiDo where your top five medal rounds can qualify you for the Grand Final at The Belfry

Following on from an unprecedented year of success, entries have once again opened for the Titleist Order of Merit powered by HowDidiDo to mark the true start of the 2016 golf season.

Last year’s competition received almost 25,000 entries from amateur golfers across the UK, culminating in the inaugural Grand Final at the legendary Belfry Hotel & Resort.

In what will be the sixth hosting of the annual Titleist Order of Merit, which has become one of the biggest golf competitions in Europe, golfers can once again compete for the chance to represent their home nation at the Grand Final, and win a host of overall and divisional prizes from the event’s long-term presenting partner, Titleist.

Titleist Order of Merit The Belfry

With a few simple clicks to register through the HowDidiDo pages, golfers can take part by simply competing in medal competitions at their home clubs, and their scores will automatically be submitted for the Titleist Order of Merit.

It's that simple.

Rankings are ultimately determined by each player’s five best medal rounds, and there is no limit to how many rounds you can enter – so the more you play, the better chance you have of qualifying for the Grand Final!

Qualifying rounds can be entered until 3rd October, when the leading 10 golfers from each county will be selected to represent their county for the exciting climax across the world-famous Brabazon course, where the overall and divisional champions will be crowned.

In addition to being treated to an overnight stay and round of golf at the world’s only four-time Ryder Cup host, finalists will also receive a ‘Tour player experience’ courtesy of Titleist, with the Titleist Tour Truck being on-site at The Belfry Academy.

Titleist Order of Merit

Barry Dyett, Chairman of the Yumax Group, parent company of HowDidiDo commented on his excitement for the year ahead: “We really wanted to bring the Order of Merit to life, and thanks to the excellent support of the event partners at Titleist and The Belfry, we were able to make that a reality last year with the inaugural Grand Final. It was great to see the excitement from all the competitors for what truly was a thrilling climax to the season-long competition at a world-class venue.”

“The Order of Merit has gone from strength-to-strength since its inception over six years agoand we now believe that the Grand Final provides an end of season event which captures the spirit and standing of the competition perfectly. We are extremely proud to offer such a popular event for golfers across the year, and cannot wait for more golfers from across the UK & Ireland to win their place at this year’s final.”

“Entry is so simple that I would encourage all members of clubs using HowDidiDo to log in to our pages and enter today. Our long-term partners, Titleist will once again be providing a unique experience and prizes for the Grand Final, which after the success of last year, will once again be hosted at the world-renowned Belfry Hotel & Resort.”
