Catriona Matthew, the 2009 Ricoh Women's British Open Champion, has announced that she has signed with the global sports management company, IMG. Matthew became the first Scottish woman to win a Major and only the fourth Briton when she claimed the Ricoh Women's British Open at Royal Lytham and St Annes in August, which was made even more remarkable considering she'd given birth to her second daughter just 11 weeks beforehand. With three LPGA victories and three LET victories as well as five appearances in the European Solheim Cup team, her Major victory was universally celebrated amongst players, fans and media. Guy Kinnings, IMG's Director of Golf, EAME, whose team represents the likes of Tiger Woods, YE Yang, Padraig Harrington, Colin Montgomerie, Annika Sorenstam and Michelle Wie, said: "Catriona's achievement this summer at the Ricoh Women's British Open was fantastic, both for her personally and especially for British golf. Winning a Major has added an extra dimension to her already extremely successful career and we are thrilled that she has decided to join IMG." Matthew, who is playing in the LPGA's season ending Tour Championship this week in Texas, explained: "I am delighted to have joined IMG. They are a global company with a great heritage in golf and I believe they are well positioned to help me to capitalise on my recent success." Where next?
