PowaKaddy signs partnership with EGU
Powakaddy has signed a two-year partnership with the English Golf Uniuon (EGU) to supply specially commissioned trolleys to the England squad
PowaKaddy has become an Official Supplier to the English Golf Union (EGU), signing a two-year agreement that sees the market leaders supply powered carts to the England squad.
To mark the start of the partnership, the England squad were presented with award-winning Freeway II Lithium trolleys, which feature a state-of-the-art battery less than a quarter of the weight of a standard model.
Some of the recipient England players include Walker Cup stars Stiggy Hodgson, Tommy Fleetwood, Chris Paisley and Matt Haines.
PowaKaddy chief executive Terry Hale commented: "We know that many leading amateurs, who either aspire to play on tour or want to reach the top of the amateur game, are strong advocates of PowaKaddy.
We are therefore delighted to be able to officially play our part in the career development of the England squad."
EGU's director of coaching, Peter Mattsson, said: "The benefits of a PowaKaddy compared to carrying or pulling a trolley in terms of energy conservation and injury prevention are very clear.
I am extremely pleased that our players can take advantage of our new relationship with PowaKaddy, which will enable them to focus their energy on improving their game."
