Hugo Dobson, the plus-two handicapper from Fynn Valley Golf Club, Suffolk, secured an impressive victory in the Boys' Under-21 category at the Faldo Series UK Championship at Hollinwell Golf Club, reinforcing his potential for future success.
Dobson will be joined with the winners from the other age categories at Hollinwell Golf Club, Michael Pressick (Boys' Under-16), Andrew Scrimshaw (Boys' Under-18) and Danielle Anderson (Girls' Under-21, to play the Faldo Series Europe Grand Final at the Lough Erne Resort, Northern Island, on September 21-23.
In 2005 Dobson was proclaimed runner-up in the Faldo Series Grand Final for the Under-15 category, progressing to win the inaugural South East of England Links Championship at Royal St George's Golf Club before succeeding at Hollinwell.
Andrew Scrimshaw secured the Boys' Under-18 age category after a sudden-death play-off with Greg Eason. Scrimshaw had recently won the NJGA 36-Hole Stroke play Championship and Northumberland Schools Championship prior to his victory at Hollinwell.
Michael Pressick, from Rutland Country, claimed a three-shot victory over Harrison Woan after initially sharing the lead with a one-under-par 71.
The Girls' Under-21 category was successfully won by Danielle Anderson after a fine start where she posted a two-under-par 73, ending with a four-shot victory over Lizi Sweetnam.
